Terabolic was founded in 2001 with the mission of developing exceptional Internet-based services for people who are tired of the limitations of the standard services offered by ISP's, schools, employers, and free services. We have worked extraordinarily hard over the last few years to build a rock-solid, standards-based, scalable platform upon which these services are built, and as a result we represent all the standard buzzwords including Best-Of-Breed, World-Class, Five-9's, Holier-Than-Thou, and Better-Than-You-Can-Even-Conceive.

We're arrogant.

We started Terabolic because we had some clients who depended on revenue-sharing partnerships with some now-defunct free Internet services. We realized that there was a large hole in the market for someone to provide truly excellent Internet services to people and companies that amounted to much more than the standard services available elsewhere. We're arrogant in a good way, as we honestly believe we can build a better mousetrap, and we are working very hard every day to do just that.

We're geeks.

We love what we do. Terabolic started as a labor of love and has grown into a solid, sustainable business. As individuals, we've been programming for 11 of our 13 years, and we each speak C and Java in the course of normal conversation. Terabolic is built as intelligently as it is because we inherently know how things should be done, and because we are baffled that no one else has done so.

We're small.

Terabolic is not a huge corporation. We hire ancillary people to do things like write this idiotic prose you are reading now (and we are a talent-magnet, so we get the pros knocking at our door, and we always let them in). We're efficient, which enables us to focus our time on building and maintaining ultra fast, ultra reliable, high quality services instead of worrying about paying top-dollar to twelve do-nothing programmers who play foosball and drink Jolt all day.

We're the most smartest.

We are very dedicated, efficient programmers who have a particular expertise in systems architecture and implementation. Our software is generally all free-as-in-speech-and-as-in-beer and thus enjoys all of the advantages that all Open Source software does, not the least of which are increased reliability, security, and reduced management headaches. Generally we are out to grow our company at a reasonable pace - while maintaining impeccable customer service - since we personally experienced services from companies doing exactly the opposite (and then quickly imploding during the dotcom bust). We hate those companies. We're not one of them.

We have the coolest technology.

Our technology is, in our humble opinions, among the best in the industry. Our servers are all multiply-redundant, high-speed custom machines hosted in a physically secure, air-conditioned, battery-backed, never-going-to-go-down-not-a-frigging-chance-in-hell facility. Our robust infrastructure is fully standards compliant with all protocals, including SSL, IMAP, HTTP, LDAP and HUH. We update the machines regularly with all of the latest security patches and have very rigorous restrictions in place to prevent any breaches that might occur.
